Creating a Menu Dropdown Best Practice
Before creating menu dropdowns template, the following has to be completed:
- Categories, Subcategories and Content pages has to be published on CMS:
- Define the sequence of categories and underlying subcategories.
- Create content with assigned category and subcategory.
- After creating content, edit the category and subcategory profile and assigned a landing page if needed.
When all items above are completed, then a menu template can be design and develop.
Note: When creating a menu.xslt it’s better to have it on a separate file, and it will be imported on the main template. (xslt) or content xslt with this approach changes are maintain in one source.
